Marlon CST rooflight glazing used to create greenhouse on the upper level of this agricultural building

6,600m2 of Clear Marlon CST 6mm Triplewall 177/51 corrugated multiwall polycarbonate was used to glaze the roof of this large agricultural building in Uddel, The Netherlands.

 Requirements:

  • High level of natural daylight
  • UV protection
  • Enhance spanning capabilities
  • Easy to install

The two storey building which houses cattle on the ground floor was designed with a roof glazed completely with Clear Marlon CST creating a greenhouse on the upper level of the building that is used to grow palnts which is then dried out and used as cattle feed.

Clear Marlon CST allows up to 79% light transmission and is co-extruded with Longlife UV protection which acts to block damaging UV radiation that can be harmful to plants.  The multiwall structure of the sheet provides insulation, reducing heat loss through the roof and provides a more rigid sheet for enhanced spanning between supports.

Marlon CST sheet is robust, light in weight, easy to install and maintain and has excellent resistance to impact damage making it ideal for use agricultural and horticultural applications.
