Brookend House

The Cascade cast iron effect rainwater system was installed on this new property in Warwickshire and helped to bring a traditional feel to the building, ensuring it blended with the surrounding natural landscape and local architecture.

Vince Wetton, Managing Director of PCE Ltd and owner of Brookend House, decided to install the system on the strength of its traditional aesthetic and modern convenience: “We were originally looking at using traditional cast iron or aluminium cast iron effect guttering, until the architect suggested we use Brett Martin’s cast iron effect system instead. We chose the Prostyle gutter together with 65mm square downpipe and hoppers which works tremendously well and blends in with the look and feel of the house and its surrounding rural landscape."

The cost advantages of selecting a PVC alternative to real cast iron is a key benefit of Brett Martin’s Cast Iron Style system. Material cost saving is combined with the associated labour and time savings of a lightweight product that requires less time to install. It is safer to work with, especially at height, while external and accessible fixtures.
