Role Purpose
To support the commercial sales function in securing projects by analysing drawings, bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to quickly respond to enquiries and ensuring we issue accurate quotations to meet our customers’ requirements.
Responsibilities
- Understand the full modular commercial product range, along with their limitations and application
- Provide accurate costs for products and any installation works
- To raise and issue clear and detailed quotations
- Keep the companies CRM system up to date with: Customer info, Project information and updates and correspondence with customers
- Offer Technical support over the phone/ by email and in person if where required
- Provide training/ information on products when required
- Ensure the company secure orders by communicating the features and benefits of our products and services to new and existing contacts and assist them in selecting those products best suited to their needs/ project
- To work closely with the sales & project office team and other areas of the business to ensure a world class service is being offered
- Making ‘professional telephone calls’, developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations to all necessary contacts.
- Have strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness to ensure profits are maximised for each project secured.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required

- Strong Analytical skills and able to think Logically
- Ability to pick up technical information quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent at problem solving
- Analytically minded, including having the ability to undertake financial analysis
- Ateam player • organised and methodical
- Helpful, empathetic and diligent
- GCSE C and above in Maths and English
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Previous Estimating experience
Desirable
- Good understanding of building and construction
- Commercially aware of the construction industry
- Able to undertake project management
- Knowledge of CAD
- Possible main contractor background.
- Some previous experience in an estimating role
