Vaults provide effective daylighting for technical engineering centre

Ayrshire Technical College required replacement of their rooflights which are positioned over engineering workshop areas.

The designated areas required good levels of light but with high quality transmission and insulation. The college also needed a solution that was easy to install and so project time managed to ensure minimised noise and disruption.   

A series of Multivault GRP vaults were installed as well as a number of Mardome Trade rooflights of which one was Mardome Circular with a 1050 diameter. 

The rooflights combine to cover an area of approx. 800m2 or 15% of the total roof area and provide an economic and yet highly effective daylighting solution.
