Brett Martin is delighted to announce this years iAwards winners and runners-up! We would like to congratulate you all and say thank you to everyone who entered - there were some really interesting entries as always!

We have 5 winners and 2 runners-up, in the following categories: Architecture & Construction (Rooflight & Canopies), Architecture & Construction (Facades), Fabrication, House & Home and Sign & Display.

 

Winner - Architecture & Construction - Rooflights & Canopies: Hospital Canopy, Ireland

The canopy features Marlon ST clear 25mm multiwall polycarbonate sheets, chosen for their exceptional light transmission and durability. This installation not only provides ample natural daylight but also ensures UV protection, creating a welcoming and sheltered environment for patients and visitors. The lightweight nature of the sheets allowed for easy installation, making this project a seamless addition to the hospital’s infrastructure.

Runner Up - Architecture & Construction - Rooflight & Canopies: Car Park Canopy, Costa Rica

Marlon ST was used in the construction of this car park canopy as it is a lightweight multi-wall glazing material manufactured from damage resistant polycarbonate. The grey tinted sheet option provides solar control while the co-extruded UV layer provides protection from the strong Costa Rican sun.  Available in a range of structures, thicknesses and tints, Marlon ST is suitable for a range of roofing and glazing applications.

Our Marlon Toploc Polycarbonate Panel Glazing System was used to create this stunning facade at the International Alborada in Ecuador .  Marlon Toploc lightweight interlocking panels are fast and easy to install allowing for a large area of glazing to be covered very quickly.  The 8mm 4wall panels provide high levels of natural daylight into the building during the day and at night can be back lit to create a dramatic lightbox.  Marlon Toploc can be installed vertically, pitched, or curved making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Winner - Fabrication: Commercial Warehouse, Germany

Marlon ST Mwall was selected for the vertical protective glazing application for a stairwell in a commercial warehouse in Germany. It was chosen for its excellent structural durability and fire performance for this particular application. Marlon ST is available in a range of structures, thicknesses and colours to suit your application.

Winner - House & Home: Home Canopy, United Kingdom

Marlon FSX was used for this particular outdoor canopy in the United Kingdom.  Marlon FSX has double sided UV protection for enhanced life expectancy of the sheet in applications where both sides are exposed to the sun.  The UV protection layer prevents yellowing and provides protection for everything below the sheet from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Runner Up- House & Home: Home Canopy, Austria

Marlon FSX was used for this outdoor canopy in Austria as Marlon FSX has UV protection which prevents 98% of damaging UV radiation from penetrating the sheet. Combining UV protection, impact and chemical resistance, light weight and high light transmission, Marlon FSX is ideal for external glazing applications.

Winner - Sign & Display: POS Display Counter

In this project Marcryl acrylic sheet was used for a variety of components for the construction of this cosmetic POS stand. This material was selected as the gloss and shiny finish gives the stand a bright feel, achieving visually stunning effects, and with polished edges, their transparency makes Marcryl the ideal choice for this particular application. This counter stand will be displayed in a bespoke retail store in Belfast City Centre.

Marlon ST multiwall polycarbonate sheet is a lightweight insulating glazing material manufactured from damage resistant polycarbonate. Marlon ST was used to glaze the retractable roof in this sporting complex due to it being light in weight and also the ability to cold curve the sheets on-site.  Marlon ST has a co-extruded UV protection layer providing resistance against the effects of UV weathering.
