Situated in the heart of Sedgley, near Dudley and within the All Saints conservation area, Dormston House is a Grade II Listed building.
Dating back to 1841, Dormston House has seen many transformations in its time. Its last renovation saw the main building change its arrangement from a 4 apartment to a 3 apartment layout and the replacement of outbuildings with 6 new 2-bedroom apartments.
As part of the planning conditions the historical integrity of Dormston House had to be preserved and any renovations to the main building required a sympathetic touch. The Cascade cast iron effect rainwater system had previously come to the attention of one of the planning officers at Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council during an exhibition in the NEC and was subsequently approved by the council for use on heritage buildings.
Dormston House's large roof area meant that the Cascade high capacity gutter and downpipe system was installed on the main house with the 68mm downpipe and hoppers being installed in other areas.
