Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Assistant 

We have 2 vacancies within the HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality) department reporting to the Head of Operations. 

The role:

  • Assisting in the management of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. 
  • Formulating and drafting of risk assessments, safe work practices and COSHH assessments.
  • Facilitating continuous improvement in HSEQ performance in all aspects of the business.
  • Assisting with projects and product development including design and testing.
  • Management and maintenance of all HSEQ documentation and systems in line BS EN ISO 9001, current legislation, and regulatory guidance.
  • Provide all staff with HSEQ support, advice, and information.
  • Participate in accident and near miss reporting and investigation as well as formulating and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Constructing and delivering training, toolbox talks and inductions.
  • Conducting HSEQ internal audits, communicating outcomes then following through to resolution.

The person will need:

  • To be a good communicator, both verbally and electronically and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team to set deadlines.
  • High standard of literary, numeracy and IT skills are vital.
  • Previous experience in a H&S or Quality department would be advantageous.

Working hours will be Monday - Thursday 8.30am-5.15pm and Friday 8.30am-4.15pm with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break.
